(750ml) Adelaide Hills, SA

Our Grüner vines arrived in 2011 and being of Austrian heritage we planted them in the coldest crease in the vineyard on a south-tilted slope. This wine is a departure from our usual classical style. It was made by a natural wine oenologist who crushed hand-picked fruit directly into a stainless steel chilling tank. Fermentation on solids with a variety of indigenous yeasts produced a range of interesting wine compounds in addition to the apple, pear, stone fruit and pepper characters that dominate the Gruner flavour profile from our vineyard. We hope you will appreciate and enjoy the difference. Enjoy it cold – it has plenty of flavour!
